Packaging Summary

Lunapack offers an entire range of services related to package manufacturing – from developing the packaging design through to the delivery of the ready packaged materials to the customer.

A summary of the package manufacturing stages is described below:

1. Development of the new package design or modification of the existing design provided by the customer. Alternatively, a selection of the optimal package designs from our database, which is compiled by our own design department. A prototype plotter is used for testing the developed design. Such specialised equipment allows the customer to promptly obtain a testing batch of the package (20-30 items) to carry out a design analysis.

2. Arrangement of pre-press preparation, output of a colour sampling, manufacture of printing plates using ‘computer to plate’ technology. The entire process is fully automated; it is carried out at a very high speed, and makes it possible to obtain printing plates of the highest possible quality.

3. Our experts will help you choose the most effective processing methods of packaging manufacture, selection of cardboard type and production process as well as ensuring maximising cost reduction methods.

4. High quality offset printing is performed by KBA Rapida 162-6-L+L sheet printing machine (printed sheet size is 1120x 1620mm) which includes 6 printing units, 2 varnishing sections, IR and UV in-line drying system, and KBA Rapida 105-6-L (printed sheet size 720x1020mm) including 6 printing units, a varnishing section and an IR drying system.

5. It is possible to varnish the package (entire, selective or combined varnishing) with UV and/or water-dispersion varnish.

6. The following kinds of after-printing finishing are available: relief and blind stamping, foil stamping (holographic foil is available), backing, die-cutting, plastic window pasting and gluing of the package parts.

7. Ready products are packed to protect their quality during transportation.

8. The finals step of the Lunapack activity is delivery of the ordered goods to the customer.

The flexible nature of our manufacturing process is based on the availability of two production lines for both large and medium sized printing sheets.

The Lunapack Quality Conformance System, uses the most modern control and measuring equipment and is implemented at every manufacturing stage to ensure the high quality of our products.
